Volunteers at Jilin University have used their actions in the past seven years to show their love and care to those who have terminal diseases and are in their last stage of life.

The volunteers gave themselves a name -- Wanqing -- which means clarity after rain at dusk.

The group was established in 2003 when the entirety of China was fighting SARS.

Students were touched by doctors and nurses on the front line and they initiated a medical care group later. Later, the volunteers realized that medical methods were not the only necessity for patients; spiritual support was also important.

"What we are doing is both send our care to the patients and show our respect for their lives," said a Wanqing volunteer.
