An exhibition featuring zisha (purple clay) ceramics and traditional Chinese paintings took place in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, on June 19.

Zisha pottery is an ancient style of ceramics that originated in Yixing, a city near Wuxi. The small Jiangsu city's history of making zisha ceramics dates back more than 600 years.

You Yaoming, a Yixing master and creator of the five pieces of zisha ceramics on display, was also awarded a gold medal during the opening ceremony of the exhibition for his contribution to Sino-Ukrainian cultural and art exchanges.
