Concerts celebrating Xizang anniversary staged in Beijing

To celebrate Xizang autonomous region's 60th founding anniversary, two concerts — featuring the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra and the chorus of the Central Conservatory of Music — were staged in Beijing on Oct 17 and 18.

The musical ensembles performed Tibetan folk songs and pop songs that reflected the beautiful natural sceneries and hardworking people of Xizang, as well as recalling the development achievements of Xizang over the past 60 years.

Soloists, such as soprano Wang Zhe, and flutist Dorje, joined the concerts, along with veteran actor Pu Cunxin and actress Wen Yujuan.
