Intl circus festival opens in Hebei's Wuqiao

The 20th China Wuqiao International Circus Festival opened on Sunday in Wuqiao county, Cangzhou, Hebei province, drawing nearly 30 performers from 19 countries and regions to perform during the festival, which will end on Oct 8.
This is the first time the festival's main events are held in Wuqiao, widely known as the "home of Chinese acrobatics".
Established in 1987, the festival is recognized as one of the world's top circus competitions.
Local authorities said the event showcases the charm of circus arts and promotes international cultural exchange.
