The collective trademark for the home textile industry in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has recently been approved for registration by the China National Intellectual Property Administration.
Nantong's home textile industry boasts a long history. In the late 19th century, the modern industrialist Zhang Jian founded Dasheng Cotton Mills and registered the "Kuixing" trademark, pioneering the branding of Nantong's textile industry.
Over the years, Nantong has built a complete industry chain integrating research and development, production, and sales with continuous innovative vitality and outstanding product quality. It has successfully created the country's largest home textile trading center with an annual market turnover of 240 billion yuan ($32.90 billion).
Renowned home textile brands, including Luolai, Violet, Lansiu, and Bermo, have recently established a significant presence in the city. These textile enterprises have played a crucial role in the formulation of two international standards, 56 national standards, and 191 industry standards, demonstrating their leadership and commitment to advancing the industry.
In an effort to establish a regionally influential brand, "Nantong Home Textiles", and to enhance the overall image of the home textile industry, the Jiangsu Nantong International Home Textile Industrial Park, in conjunction with the Nantong market supervision bureau (Intellectual Property Office), is collaboratively promoting the application for the collective trademark.
Through the implementation of unified identification, standards, and management practices, the collective trademark is expected to enhance the overall image and market recognition of the industry, helping "Nantong Home Textiles" leap towards branding identity and high-end development.
