Guizhou students revive nature's chorus with Dong tradition

Two high school students from Liping county, Southwest China's Guizhou province, captivated audiences with their crystal-clear rendition of the Dong grand song Bugu Cuichun (cuckoo heralds spring). Dressed in school uniforms, they mimicked cuckoo calls through vocal harmonies – melodic highs mimicking the bird's crisp trills and resonant lows echoing mountain valleys – recreating a timeless scene of spring farming.
