Northeast universities enhance graduate employment with joint job fair

On March 25, Jilin University, in collaboration with the Jilin Provincial Department of Education, hosted the 2025 Spring Job Fair. Over 20,000 graduates from 66 universities attended the fair, which is the province's largest and most prestigious recruitment event.

The event is part of the Northeast universities cooperation initiative, a partnership among Harbin Institute of Technology, Jilin University, Dalian University of Technology, Northeastern University, and Harbin Engineering University. The schools work together to expand employment opportunities, share resources, and build a strong job market for graduates.

This year, 815 employers participated, offering more than 38,000 positions. In addition to top enterprises and well-known organizations, 192 employers from Changchun, Suzhou, Baotou, Shijiazhuang, Handan, Ningbo, and Yuhang district of Hangzhou joined the event as part of city-led recruitment delegations.

A standout feature of this job fair was the networking lunch session, which provided a relaxed setting for students and employers to converse.

Ahead of the event, the university conducted extensive research on graduates' employment progress, collected job preference data, and mobilized students through targeted outreach. Special support was provided to students facing employment challenges, with counselors personally guiding them through job recommendations.

The fair offered zones for job matching, policy consultations, and career guidance. Follow-up tracking and effectiveness assessments will ensure continued support for graduates in securing quality employment.
