Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Institute, situated in Taoyangli historical and cultural district in Jingdezhen -- China's renowned porcelain capital in Jiangxi province - is a museum dedicated to the archaeology of imperial kilns and cultural heritage preservation.

Its main structure consists of eight hyperbolic arch buildings of varying sizes. Both the interior and exterior surfaces of these buildings are adorned with newly fired and recycled kiln bricks. The museum's design is inspired by the distinctive egg-shaped wood-fired kilns developed in Jingdezhen during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and incorporates the smooth, simple curve characteristic of porcelain.

The museum currently houses a collection of over 50,000 exhibit-ready cultural items, with a significant emphasis on restored pieces and key Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) imperial kiln ceramics unearthed from the kiln site.

The museum’s specimen research laboratory of Ancient Ceramic Gene Bank is open to the public. It regularly holds public educational programs on the appreciation of ancient ceramics .

Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Institute runs a permanent exhibition, displaying nearly 700 restored porcelain pieces and thousands of precious porcelain shard specimens, which illustrate the historical evolution and cultural significance of imperial kilns during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).
