Humanoid robot, two robot dogs kick off start of semester

A humanoid robot and two robot dogs stole the show at the new semester opening ceremony at Hongfan School affiliated with Chongqing No 8 Secondary School held in Chongqing on Wednesday.

The humanoid robot, known as G1 produced by the Hangzhou-based robotics firm Unitree Robotics — the same type as the "dancing robot" at the nationally televised Spring Festival Gala, donned a school uniform. Accompanied by two robot dogs outfitted as lion dancers, their performance sparked a wave of enthusiasm among the audience.
