Hongfeng Lake Tourism Festival

Located 28 kilometers west of Guiyang, Hongfeng Lake is the first stop of the western Guizhou tourist route and a national 4A-level scenic spot. It combines lake scenery, karst landforms, and ethnic cultures.

Hongfeng Mountain is located near Hongfeng Lake. Many Chinese sweet gum trees grow around the lake and on the mountain. When autumn arrives, the maple leaves turn fire red. Walking on the island, you can enjoy the layers of red and yellow leaves alongside the green water.

Immerse yourself in vibrant autumn hues and delve into the rich tapestry of local culture with a boat trip to the island. As you glide across the lake, breathtaking vistas unfold before you: majestic peaks piercing the sky, dramatic cliffs plunging into the water, and the meandering river carving its path through the landscape.

The island is home to Miao, Dong, and Bouyei villages, each offering a unique glimpse into the traditions of the ethnic groups. Discover the architectural marvels of the Miao stilt houses, be captivated by the intricate designs of the Dong Drum Tower and the Wind and Rain Bridge, and admire the sturdy stone houses of the Bouyei people.

During the Hongfeng Lake Tourism Festival, there's a grand opening ceremony, followed by water parades, ethnic performances, cultural and art exhibitions, water sports, night tours, and fireworks shows.
