Celebrate Liangjiang New Area's vibrant Spring Festival

Exhibitions, performances, and food markets take center stage as the Spring Festival unfolds in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area. The area becomes a lively celebration that welcomes the new year with warmth and cheer.

From Jan 29 to Feb 12 at the main square of the Chongqing Garden Expo Park, visitors can indulge in mouthwatering local delicacies, participate in fun-filled amusement activities, and engage in traditional arts like paper-cutting, stone rubbings, and riddle-solving.

Visitors can enjoy traditional lion dances, acrobatics, shadow puppetry, and mesmerizing face-changing performances. The park also offers captivating ancient crafts, such as iron and water steel flowers and flying fire vessels, that create a magical display.

From Jan 7 to Feb 16, the Chongqing Happy Valley becomes a photographer's paradise, with New Year decorations perfect for snaps. Art lovers can also immerse themselves in a unique exhibition showcasing contemporary Chinese art. The "2024 Chongqing Contemporary Small-Scale Artwork Collection and Promotion Plan" invites artists from over 80 prestigious universities worldwide to exhibit their works, which range from traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, and printmaking to digital art, sculpture, and trendy collectibles.

The exhibition runs until March 2 and is closed every Monday. Visitors who purchase at any store in Jinshan ECOOL can receive a free ticket.
