As a deputy to the Jilin Provincial People's Congress, Li Hongjian from China FAW Group shared his insights on the company's role in promoting innovation and driving Jilin's high-quality development.

He believed that a company's strengths lie in its platforms, products, industrial chains, and ecosystems, which enable it to focus on key technological advancements.

Li also highlighted the importance of developing new, high-quality productive forces tailored to Jilin's unique conditions. With abundant green electricity and hydrogen resources and diverse climates, Jilin offers a significant opportunity for new energy vehicles (NEVs) and serves as a natural testing ground.

He noted that the region's universities, such as Jilin University and Northeast Normal University, provide a solid foundation for developing new technologies in automotive engineering, physics, chemistry, optics, materials, and computer science.

Li regarded automobiles as a key pillar of Jilin's economy and essential to national strategies and regional revitalization. As competition in the NEV sector intensifies, the pressure for interior transformation is immense. He emphasized the importance of auto enterprises choosing the right direction, methods, and approaches for successful development.
