Political session highlights putting people first

At the third session of the 13th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Jan 13, all provincial political advisors were urged to adhere to the people-oriented principle.

The session emphasized that CPPCC members should serve the bigger picture and provide suggestions for Jilin's high-quality development. They should focus on deepening reforms, expanding high-level opening-up, conducting in-depth investigations and studies, actively reflecting public opinions, gathering wisdom from the people, and safeguarding their interests. Together with the Party and governments, they should effectively address issues that concern and trouble the masses.

Key points were highlighted: fostering broad consensus across all sectors, seeking common ground while reserving differences, strengthening communication and contact with people from all walks of life, and serving as a bridge for investment attraction, talent recruitment, and cultural exchanges.

Zhu Guoxian, chairman of the CPPCC Jilin Committee, delivered a work report, pointing out that 2024 marked the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the CPPCC. The CPPCC Jilin Committee has made new contributions to promoting the comprehensive vitalization of Jilin.
