Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport, located on the east side of Heping Middle Road in Jinjiang, Quanzhou, Fujian province, is one of the three major international airports in Fujian province. It is located 12 kilometers north of downtown Quanzhou and 12 kilometers south of Shishi city, with the Taiwan Strait to its east.

The airport primarily serves the travel needs of Quanzhou and southwestern Fujian province. It is connected to Quanzhou via a high-speed road, allowing travelers to reach it from the city's downtown in as little as 10 minutes. The airport plaza includes a bus station with routes to downtown Quanzhou, Jinjiang Railway Station, and intercity buses within the province, providing seamless "air-to-ground" transportation services for passengers.

Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport is classified as a 4D-level airport and is equipped with comprehensive service and support facilities that can accommodate the Boeing B767-300 and smaller aircraft. It is also capable of flight operations in all weather conditions.

A total of 37 airlines currently operate at the airport, serving 80 domestic and international destinations. These include 69 domestic destinations like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu, and Nanjing, and 11 international destinations such as Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Sihanoukville, Hong Kong, and Macau. The airport also serves seven domestic and international cargo routes to destinations like Hangzhou, Wuxi, Shenzhen, Nantong, Tianjin, Manila, and Kota Kinabalu.

The city of Quanzhou is believed to be the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road. As a crucial gateway for international exchanges, Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport was included among the first ports to implement "Belt and Road" entry and exit facilitation arrangements by the National Immigration Administration in April 2019. The airport plans to increase domestic trunk routes and expand its network to more countries along the Maritime Silk Road in order to support the Belt and Road Initiative.
