On Dec 21, Changchun Ice and Snow New World hosted the Global Undergraduate Skiing Carnival, a vibrant event showcasing Jilin's ice and snow tourism to international students. Organized by Jilin University, it welcomed over 15 students from more than 10 countries, including Mauritania, Russia, Germany, and the United States.
During the carnival, participants explored Changchun, Jilin, Songyuan, and the iconic Changbai Mountain, immersing themselves in the region's unique ice and snow culture. Many attendees, hailing from tropical climates, experienced snow for the first time. Mauritanian student Oubeid Mohamed Salem expressed awe, describing Changchun's winter as a "magical world". Russian participant Kremer Olga praised the 1,314-meter slide and promised to share her thrilling experience with friends and family.
This event also empowered students to act as social media ambassadors, sharing their adventures and promoting Jilin's winter attractions globally.
By inviting more Gen Z travelers to experience the breathtaking charm of the Changbai Mountains, the carnival promoted cultural exchanges and left a lasting impression on participants, showcasing the power of snow and youth in creating unforgettable memories.
