Gutian Tourist Area in Longyan

Gutian Tourist Area is located in Gutian town, Longyan, Fujian province, and is the only 5A-level red tourism attraction in the province. Red tourism is a type of tourism in which people visit sites with historical significance for communism in China.

The Gutian Meeting, which is considered a milestone in the development of the Communist Party of China, was held in the town at the end of December 1929. The resolution adopted at the meeting maps out a large-scale program for building the Red Army.

Highlights of the tourist area include the Site of the Gutian Meeting and the Gutian Meeting Memorial Hall, in addition to the rich local folk culture.
