The best time of the year to view the ice floes on the section of the Yellow River located in Wuyuan county, Bayannuur, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, began on Dec 24.
These natural formations, resembling lotus flowers or icebergs, are a breathtaking showcase of nature's artistry.
Hongqi first community in Taohai town, Wuyuan county, is located at the northernmost point of the Yellow River's flow. Every winter, the area becomes a hotspot for tourists and locals eager to witness the spectacular ice floes.
