Guangzhou High-Tech Zone ranks 11th nationwide

The 2024 evaluation results for national high-tech zones put Guangzhou High-Tech Zone at 11th nationwide.

The high-tech zone has demonstrated outstanding performance in various indicators, ranking 5th in national industrial output, 8th in operating income of high-tech industries, 9th in intensity of enterprise R&D expenditures, 5th in per capita technology contract turnover, 8th in number of high-quality enterprises, and 11th in business environment, putting it at the national forefront.

The Guangzhou High-Tech Zone is building strategic platforms such as the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, Guangzhou Science City, Maritime Silk Road City, and Bio-island, forming a new pattern of high-quality urban development through strengthened coordinated development.

The zone has formed multiple industry clusters, covering industries such as automobile manufacturing, new display technologies, green energy, new materials, and beauty and health.

The Guangzhou High-Tech Zone's innovation platforms include the Guangzhou Laboratory and the National Technology Innovation Center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, attracting over 1,000 research institutions and positioning its innovation capabilities at the national forefront.
