Conference brings overseas Chinese together to build dream

The second Overseas Chinese Talent Conference for Development, or OTD opened on Dec 16 in Fuzhou, capital of East China's Fujian province, where folks from around the world gathered to promote friendship and cooperation and support the city's development.

Following last year's successful debut, the event saw a groundbreaking declaration for a new era of overseas Chinese.

This year's conference aims to further connect and empower young overseas Chinese. Leveraging worldwide resources and expertise, the goal is to drive innovation and practical outcomes.

Continuing its efforts, this year’s OTD has actively engaged with the doctorate association and has organized such activities as a visit of overseas doctors to Fujian, attracting over 400 doctors, with 177 selected from prestigious institutions attending the event.

Fuzhou's initiatives are warmly embracing overseas Chinese and returnees. Most notably, the launch of the first overseas Chinese medical service point at Fuzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital on Nov 13 streamlined healthcare access for overseas Chinese and their families.

With the second OTD ongoing, Fuzhou and overseas Chinese have come together, propelled by the conference's momentum to strengthen emotional ties and stride towards a shared future in the new era.
