The 24th Chinese medical team in Rwanda has established a unique "medical Mandarin workshop" at Masaka Hospital, tailored to meet the specific needs of the local healthcare system.

This initiative underscores the Chinese medical team's deep commitment to supporting Rwanda's healthcare development and symbolizes the strong friendship between the people of China and Rwanda.

The workshop aims to help medical staff from both countries overcome language barriers, ensuring seamless communication and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of medical services.

The curriculum is designed in close alignment with Masaka Hospital's specific needs, focusing on essential medical terminology, procedures, and emergency phrases. This enables local healthcare professionals to communicate more effectively with Chinese doctors and provide higher quality medical care.

The workshop has become popular among Masaka Hospital's staff. Many doctors and nurses have said that learning Mandarin has significantly benefited their professional capabilities and deepened their understanding of Chinese medical culture.

Looking ahead, the Chinese medical team will seek to develop the workshop into a model of Sino-Rwandan medical cooperation, contributing further to the health and well-being of people in both nations.
