The 2024-25 snow season in Northeast China's Jilin province officially began on Nov 23 with the 30th Jilin Rime Ice and Snow Festival, held at the Beidahu Ski Resort in Jilin city.
Renowned as "a skiing paradise and powder snow haven", Beidahu Ski Resort, the largest ski resort in Asia, will operate 74 slopes spanning 80 kilometers this season. With pre-sale revenues already reaching 170 million yuan ($23.47 million), the resort is set to capitalize on Jilin's unique ice and snow resources by hosting international and domestic events. Officials and guests engaged with visitors and foreign coaching teams, encouraging them to promote Jilin's attractions and inspire others to experience this winter wonderland.
Jilin is committed to the principle that "ice and snow are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver". The province is building a world-class ice and snow tourism destination driven by winter sports, tourism, culture, and equipment industries. With unique features like powder snow, gentle winds, rime ice, and hot springs, Jilin welcomes visitors with unparalleled resources: the nation's longest slopes, the highest number of aerial lifts, and several top-ranking ski resorts.
Jilin invites partners to explore development opportunities, deepen cooperation, and transform the province into a premier destination for winter tourism and a hub for the ice and snow economy.
