WEDZ to launch auto culture, tourism consumption season

The much-anticipated Wuhan Auto Culture and Tourism Consumption Season is set to launch on Oct 25 at the Hankou Waterfront, as reported by local media at a news conference on Oct 19.

The event, running until Oct 31, is a collaboration between the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) and Dongfeng Motor Corporation and promises to be a comprehensive celebration that combines auto exhibitions, cultural tourism activities, and entertainment.

The opening day will feature live interpretations of automotive consumption policies, presentations on automotive culture, announcements of international racing events, and captivating drone and light shows alongside artistic performances. A special "Car & Life" exhibition area will also be set up to engage visitors.

Throughout the week, attendees can look forward to a city-wide auto tour, live-streamed car sales, cultural and creative displays, test drives of WEDZ-made vehicles, and a series of activities centered around travel, shopping, entertainment, and living in WEDZ.

Key figures from Dongfeng Motor's various brands, representatives from Lotus NYO and Xpeng Motors, and local government leaders attended the press conference to discuss the event's highlights and objectives.
