An advanced training program for officials from the justice ministries of countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was recently held in Northwest China's Gansu province.

The program was organized by the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) of China, co-organized by the Justice Department of Gansu, and undertaken by Gansu University of Political Science and Law.

The program is one of the important initiatives of China's MOJ in implementing the pragmatic cooperation outcomes of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. It serves as China's response to the concerns of BRI countries about strengthening exchanges and cooperation in the fields of law and judicial administration, and provides an effective platform for international exchanges on the rule of law.

The current program focused on introducing Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law and China's significant achievements in promoting the rule of law through various forms, including lectures, seminars, field visits, symposia and cultural experience activities. It also featured in-depth presentations by renowned legal experts on China's national conditions and fine traditional legal culture.

Participants lauded the remarkable achievements China has made in promoting the rule of law. They expressed a strong desire to further strengthen pragmatic cooperation and exchanges in the fields of law and judicial administration and a willingness to contribute to ongoing exchanges and mutual learning in the rule of law among these BRI countries.

They agreed that the training program has consolidated consensus, fostered friendship, facilitated communication and enhanced mutual trust among BRI countries, further solidifying the foundation for pragmatic cooperation in the fields of law and judicial administration among participating countries.

Officials at the department and bureau level from the justice ministries of such countries as Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as those from China's relevant provincial-level judicial administrative organs, participated in the training.
