New energy storage industry conference held in Baotou

The 2024 China New Energy Storage Industry Development Conference was held on Sept 23 in the city of Baotou – located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

With its theme of "Innovation-Driven, Green Energy for the Future", the event aimed to explore new technologies, business models and solutions in the energy storage sector – fostering deep collaboration across the industry and accelerating its high-quality development.

The initiative was said to support Baotou's goal of becoming the China Energy Storage City, with a global influence.

Hosted by the Inner Mongolia Energy Bureau and Inner Mongolia Energy Group, the event attracted over 120 leading companies and industry experts, including 20 academicians and specialists.

Attendees engaged in discussions on the latest global trends, policies and cutting-edge technologies in energy storage – such as long-duration flow batteries, compressed air energy storage and hydrogen storage.

Meanwhile, the unveiling of the Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology-Baotou New Energy Storage Research Center on the day also highlighted the city's commitment to innovation.
