Shanxi holds series of tourism promotion and service provider matchmaking events

North China's Shanxi province held a series of tourism promotion and service provider matchmaking events at the Taiyuan Ancient County Town on July 27. 

The events saw the release of several important documents, including the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA)-Shanxi Tourism Guide, the Standards System for Tourism Satisfaction in Shanxi, and the Friendly Shanxi Initiative.

The PATA-Shanxi Tourism Guide, jointly released by the Shanxi and the PATA, provides comprehensive information on Shanxi's tourism offerings, including detailed travel information and practical tips. Alongside the guide's release, the PATA-Shanxi Outstanding Tourism Experience List – Travelers' Choice List in Shanxi was also announced.

The list recognizes the most highly-acclaimed destinations in Shanxi based on positive feedback from travelers on platforms like Tripadvisor, Trip and Mafengwo. The selection process took into account positive reviews and scores from a panel of PATA experts. The list aims to commend and encourage attractions and industry leaders who have made significant contributions to Shanxi's tourism industry.

The Standards System for Tourism Satisfaction in Shanxi aims to enhance the level of tourism standards in Shanxi, improve visitor satisfaction, and facilitate the high-quality development of the province's tourism industry. 

The Friendly Shanxi Initiative proposes the strengthening of cross-regional cultural and tourism collaboration and development of diverse "culture and tourism +" industrial models by focusing on new models such as study tours, rural tourism, wellness and tourism, and low-altitude tourism, so as to further enhance the overall attractiveness of Shanxi's culture and tourism.
