The 21st Changchun International Auto Expo wrapped up on July 22 after a visitor-packed 10-day run at the Northeast Asia International Expo Center in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province.

Spanning 170,000 square meters, the expo attracted 226,000 visitors, showcasing 1,100 vehicles from 124 brands.

The event highlighted advancements in smart, connected and new energy vehicles. Notable debuts included the global launch of the FAW Hongqi HS3 PHEV and the introduction of 12 new brands from Lotus and BYD's Fangchengbao.

In all, a total of 55 new models – among them the Hongqi Golden Sunflower series, Lamborghini's latest supercars and the Durant Guild Pure Electric Hummer – made their Northeast China debut.

The expo also served as a platform for cutting-edge automotive technology – featuring innovations like autonomous driving solutions, smart operating systems, high-end chips, precise lidar and advanced battery technologies.

The event hosted themed summit meetings where industry, government and academic representatives discussed the future of smart electric vehicles, technology adoption and market adaptation.

In addition to showcasing the latest in automotive technology, the expo facilitated international trade activities, including Belt and Road business roadshows and export discussions with countries such as Poland, Egypt, and Russia.

This year's expo is said to have demonstrated Changchun's commitment to advancing the global automotive industry and highlighted China's ongoing industrial progress.
