Shanxi to build national new energy industry beacon with Greater Bay Area

A delegation of new energy companies from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area visited the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone to explore and promote cooperation in the new energy field on July 17. 

The Greater Bay Area is known for its advanced technology and investment in the new energy sector, while the Shanxi demonstration zone is a leader in the transformation of resource-based economies and a hub for advanced manufacturing in central China.

Chen Xi, deputy director of the management committee of Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, highlighted the demonstration zone's advantages in new energy development, including strong energy resources, land availability, logistical advantages, technological innovation, existing industrial infrastructure, and a favorable business environment. Chen expressed hopes of strengthening cooperation with the visiting companies.

The visiting entrepreneurs introduced their respective companies and industrial layouts in the new energy sector, and expressed strong interest in the investment opportunities and the overall investment environment in the Shanxi demonstration zone.

Wu Fafu, chairman of Zhongcheng Dayou Industrial Group Co, noted Shanxi's status as an energy powerhouse makes it a promising prospect for his company. Wu expressed interest in collaborating with the demonstration zone to promote the demonstration zone's development and investment in the new energy sector.

During their stay, the delegation also visited the TZCO Intelligent High-end Equipment Industrial Park, Shanxi Jingke Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Co and Shanxi Zhonglai Photovoltaic Battery Technology Co.
