Chongqing Zoo holds a party for panda Mang Cancan for its one-year birthday on Saturday. The keepers prepared a birthday cake made from ingredients such as bamboo shoots, apples, grapes, carrots and tomatoes for Cancan to enjoy. Many local residents and tourists gathered at the Panda House to participate in the event.

Mang Cancan, which means beautiful and bright in Chinese, was born at Chongqing Zoo and is Mang Zai's fifth offspring. Its weight has increased from 191 grams at birth to 33.5 kilograms, and it is very lively and healthy, according to the zoo.

By the end of 2023, Chongqing Zoo boasts 22 pandas and claims to become the zoo with the most pandas in the world.
