Guizhou athletes prepare for 2024 Paris Olympics

Guizhou will see three athletes compete in the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics: kayaker Huang Juan, mountain biker Mi Jiujiang, and shooter Xie Yu, all of whom are currently busy training in preparation.

Huang Juan, a 22-year-old from Bijie, has extensive experience in domestic and international competitions. She previously won the gold medal in women's kayak slalom at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou and will compete at the Olympics for the first time.

The Chinese National Kayak Slalom Team is currently training at the Marne River Seine-Saint-Denis Canoeing and Kayaking Center in Paris, where the Olympic slalom kayaking events will be held.

Mi Jiujiang, a 32-year-old from Zhenyuan, has shown talent since he first started mountain biking in 2016. He has achieved notable results in domestic and international competitions, including winning the men's Olympic cross-country mountain biking race at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou.

He also performed well in the selection trials for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Currently, Mi is undergoing training with the national team in Bijie, focusing on physical conditioning and specialized technical training, aiming for glory at the upcoming Olympics.
