The southern section of Guazhou Ancient Ferry Park, one of the 12 renowned spots for viewing along the Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal, has been renovated and is now officially open to the public.
Within the southern section, historical sites such as ancient ferry ruins and the Yubei pavilion and Chenxiang pavilions have been restored, while the park's pathways and greenery have undergone comprehensive enhancements.
The final touches are to the park's boutique hotel project. The project, which is still underway, features 29 garden-themed rooms, elegantly designed and located within the Gudu Hotel and the L building. Guests can enjoy a comfortable stay with amenities such as meeting rooms, a tea room, a gym, and a KTV lounge. The hotel's dining area, styled in a modern Chinese decor, caters to guests, town visitors, and event attendees.
To enhance the environment along the canal, Guazhou town has also carried out an ecological restoration project along the western section of the canal's shoreline. This project has introduced approximately 26,000 square meters of green spaces and new trails that serve as both fitness areas and scenic viewpoints.
