8th China Litchi, Longan Industry Conference opens in Maoming

The eighth China Litchi and Longan Industry Conference convened in Genzi town, Gaozhou city, Maoming on May 20.

Representatives from various sectors, including research, production, and distribution, gathered to showcase the latest advancements in China's litchi and longan industry. The event highlighted the country's progress in genetic research, cultivation techniques, and preservation methods.

The conference emphasized innovation and collaboration. Integrating AI and cultural elements, it unveiled top varieties and cutting-edge technologies. A national litchi meteorological service center and a research base for unique fruit technology trade measures were officially inaugurated.

The conference marked a significant milestone in fostering partnerships and development within the industry. The logo for Maoming's regional public brand was also unveiled, alongside key publications, including procurement guides. Agreements for collaborative projects were signed, focusing on cooperation in freezing technology, industry chain development, and enhancing the quality and efficiency of postal and financial services.

After the conference, participants planted litchi trees to support Guangdong's ecological initiatives. This underscored a collective commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable growth in the region.
