On May 18, the 48th International Museum Day, multiple museums in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, will orchestrate a diverse cultural extravaganza giving the public the chance to appreciate the splendid history of Chinese civilization.

Centered around the theme of "Museums for Education and Research", the Xi'an Museum will host the "Faraway Visitors' Job Search Diary – Leisurely Tour of Chang'an" event on May 18 and 19 at the Lezhi Academy on the second floor of the museum.

Participants will have the chance to act out short drama scenes by drawing numbers, getting a feel for what life was like in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), as well as handcraft their own fans, make Tang Dynasty printings, and play hunting chess, among other activities.

At the Xi'an Banpo Museum, visitors can create their own linen using ancient methods and partake in the flagship educational project "plant stamping dyeing" at the prehistoric workshop for free on May 18 from 9 am to 10 am.

Additionally, at the Xi'an Jiaotong University Museum, there are exciting activities scheduled for May 18 and 25, including a spectacular cultural evening.

Participants can dress in traditional hanfu and take stunning photos amid the ancient setting created using rubbings of stone tablets and backdrops.
