Shanxi-Tianjin partnership aims high at 'going global'

The Shanxi-Tianjin "Going Global" Strategic Alliance Cooperation and Exchange Conference was held in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, on May 10, to further deepen cooperation between the two regions in fields such as energy, industry, science and education.

The conference was jointly organized by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce, Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Shanxi Branch and Tianjin Branch of China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation.

An official from the Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce stated that the Shanxi Enterprise "Going Global" Strategic Cooperation Alliance was initiated by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce, Shanxi Development and Reform Commission, and Shanxi Branch of China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation in 2017. Since its establishment, the alliance has helped promote win-win cooperation among enterprises in the province and supported enterprises in the province in "going global".

An employee at Shanxi Branch of China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation stated that Shanxi and Tianjin should leverage their respective strengths and jointly explore overseas markets, and that it is necessary to enhance risk prevention awareness and identify market positioning accurately.

During the exchange session, representatives from 16 Tianjin enterprises, 18 Shanxi enterprises, and two banks shared their experiences and achievements in their respective "going global" businesses. The Shanxi Enterprise "Going Global" Strategic Cooperation Alliance then signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Tianjin "Going Global" Cooperation Platform.
