A Bangladeshi familythat traveled a long way to Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, has fashioned their days into something enviable.

Mohammad Musa graduated with a Ph.D. degree and embarked on a teaching career at Xi'an Eurasia University in Xi'an. His wife, Lina, is also a Ph.D. holder. She continued her academic journey through post-doctoral research at Shaanxi Normal University.

Their son has integrated into the local community, attending a public elementary school in the city.

In 2016, Lina had the opportunity to study at a university in Xi'an, but with their child being only two years old at the time, they reluctantly turned it down. Two years later, both of them secured the chance to pursue their doctoral studies at Shaanxi Normal University.

"We couldn't let this opportunity slip away again," stated Musa.

Their determination stems not only from their thirst for further education, but also from their admiration for Chinese culture. In October 2018, the Musa family arrived in Xi'an.

At Shaanxi Normal University, Musa and Lina embarked on their studies in Western economics, while also trying to master the Chinese language.

Musa places great importance on his teaching role, infusing his life experiences into it. He believes that learning involves understanding, critical thinking, and creativity, emphasizing the importance of students engaging their minds and fostering innovation.

The family enjoys trying different Chinese cuisines, with hotpot, barbecue, and braised chicken being among their favorites.

When asked about the future, Musa remarked, "To excel in our endeavors, to cherish the present moment, I believe that in Xi'an, we will have an even brighter future."
