"The ventilation, heat preservation and irrigation facilities for vegetables inside the park's greenhouses all need electricity to run effectively, and the safe power operation is imperative," said Li Bin, a staffer from State Grid Tianchang City Power Supply Co, while visiting the park for safe power checks.

He told the park employees: "As the temperature and humidity in the greenhouses are relatively high, it is vital to ensure that the electrical equipment insulation and leakage protectors are at work. Please regularly check the in-house power lines and equipment, and contact us in times of need."

Jin Mohan, Li's colleague, noted that besides paying attention to the agricultural park, they have also sent staffers to examine the electric wires and power system to run the irrigation pumps in the city as the time for spring plowing and planting unfolds.

She said they are encouraging the local farmers to rationally use the electricity resources to bolster their agricultural production efficiency.

Located in the Yangtze River Delta region, Tianchang — bordering the cities of Nanjing and Yangzhou in neighboring Jiangsu province— has a population surpassing 628,500 and has abundant water, mineral, animal and plant resources.
