Shanxi province will take multiple measures to promote the innovative development of its trade in services sector in 2024.

These measures primarily focus on developing digital trade, building the Shanxi service brand, and constructing new demonstration platforms.

Support will be provided for the digital transformation of enterprises in traditional trade in service sectors, aiming to lower the known barriers of digital transformation in these fields.

Efforts will be made to promote Shanxi's cultural products and cultural services globally.

The province will support service outsourcing enterprises to obtain international qualifications, strengthen brand building, conduct research and development activities, and expand both domestic and international markets.

Promotional activities for Shanxi service brands will also be conducted. Trade promotion activities will be organized to support enterprises in participating in national and international exhibitions, thereby assisting them in expanding their international reach.

Shanxi will support Taiyuan and Datong in applying for the establishment of national service outsourcing demonstration cities. It will cultivate and certify provincial-level export bases for distinctive services. These services include culture, digital services, traditional Chinese medicine, human resources, intellectual property, geographic information, and language services.

Special emphasis will be placed on supporting knowledge-intensive service enterprises in finance, information, business services, education, and healthcare. This will incubate growing enterprises in high-value-added service sectors such as professional consulting, creative design, medical health, convention, and exhibition.

In addition, financial and export credit insurance policies will be optimized and implemented to support and expand enterprises that are engaged in trade in services, thus promoting the expansion of service exports.
