During the seven days leading up to the Spring Festival holiday, the Huaqing Palace Scenic Area in Xi'an's Lintong district, received over 400,000 visits, marking a 74.5-percent increase compared to the same period last year.

This surge reflects the continuous rise in cultural and tourism consumption, creating a lively and bustling atmosphere.

Throughout the Spring Festival holiday, the Huaqing Palace Scenic Area introduced a series of special activities that were rooted in Tang Dynasty (618-907) culture and traditional Spring Festival customs.

Nearly a hundred cultural performances were staged during this period, offering a comprehensive display of traditional culture that was infused with new vitality.

The Huaqing Palace art troupe presented elegant and graceful Tang Dynasty court dances, which earned enthusiastic applause from both local residents and tourists.

Other lively shows and events were also organized to delight audiences. This included Qin Opera performances, folk percussion shows, and other Spring Festival temple fair activities.

The scenic area will continue these activities until the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. From the eighth to the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, visitors can also enjoy Shaanxi intangible cultural heritage performances, such as shehuo (a traditional folk show), and datiehua (spraying molten iron).
