Shanxi, Ghana to cooperate in infrastructure and mineral exploration

Officials of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanxi Provincial Government met with a delegation from Ghana on Jan 11.

Representatives of the Shanxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Shanxi Construction Investment Group Co, and Shanxi Geological and Mineral Overseas Engineering Construction Co also attended the meeting.

Ma Xiaomin, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanxi Provincial Government, said that the office is willing to support practical cooperation between Shanxi and Ghana in areas such as infrastructure construction and mineral development and utilization. This will benefit the people of both regions.

The Ghana's delegation expressed intentions to promote cooperation in the development of gold mines and other fields. They also hope that relevant companies from Shanxi will participate in airport construction and mineral exploration, providing technical support in Ghana.
