Four development zones in North China's Shanxi province were recently selected as pilot areas for coordinated innovation in pollution reduction and carbon reduction, as announced by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
They are the Jinzhong Development Zone in the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, the Xinghuacun Economic and Technological Development Zone, the Jishan Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the Yangquan High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
This pilot project will commence in January 2024 and last for a period of three years. These development zones will continue to adjust local industrial structure, transform production methods, and promote low-carbon and recycling transformation.
