A China-Europe freight train departed from the Shanxi Fanglue Bonded Logistics Center in Linfen city, North China's Shanxi province, on Dec 30, bound for Russia.

This is the first China-Russia freight train launched from the city and the 95th China-Europe train from Shanxi in 2023.

The train was loaded with goods such as excavators, ceramic sanitary ware, car glass lifters, and children's shoes. It exited through Alashankou Port in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, via Kazakhstan, and arrived in Russia after 15 days.

The first China-Europe train from Shanxi was launched on Feb 15, 2017. Over the last six years, Shanxi's specialty products, such as mining excavators, train wheel sets, glassware, and solar photovoltaic products, have been transported to more than 40 cities in 13 countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

To support Shanxi's development as a new inland hub for opening-up, Taiyuan Customs has formulated relevant plans and fully supported the development and strengthening of international logistics parks and bonded logistics centers. The smooth operation of these China-Europe freight trains has helped this inland region to open-up.

Taiyuan Customs will strengthen cooperation with local governments and enterprises, promote port construction, and support the expansion of Shanxi products into international markets.
