Taiyuan Customs, the provincial customs department in North China's Shanxi province, issued over 1,200 certificates of origin for RCEP from January to October, with the foreign trade value with RCEP member countries increasing 7.9 percent year-on-year to 42.4 billion yuan ($5.95 billion).

The certified products include Shanxi's specialty products such as Fenjiu liquor, vinegar, red dates, glassware, as well as calcium nitrite and activated carbon. The province's 65 enterprises exported goods worth around 391 million yuan to RCEP members, enjoying tariff reductions of around 7.3 million yuan.

With the comprehensive implementation of the RCEP among the group's 15 members, the related policy dividends will continue to be unleashed.

Taiyuan Customs will continue to assist the province's enterprises in enjoying tariff reductions and other preferential policies, to help and promote more businesses as they integrate into the vast regional market of RCEP members.

This will enable more Shanxi specialty products to go global.
