A regular air freight service connecting Mexico City, Taiyuan, Shanghai and Chicago was launched at Taiyuan Wusu International Airport in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, on Nov 1.

It's the first international cargo flight route in Shanxi. Operated by China Southern Airlines, this weekly air freight service carries a wide range of goods, such as fruits, fresh produce, and accessories from Mexico City to Taiyuan, and e-commerce items, mobile accessories, and electronic cigarettes from Taiyuan to Pudong New Area in Shanghai as well as Chicago in the United States.

The cargo flight route has provided Shanxi with a new air freight channel for foreign trade, further enriching its network of cargo flight routes, enhancing international air cargo capacity, and expanding the scope of air logistics.

On the same day, the newly built international air cargo logistics base at Taiyuan Wusu International Airport was officially put into operation. This will improve the infrastructure of international air cargo logistics at the airport and enhance its comprehensive cargo-handling services.
