Farmers in Shijianian village of Hanxue township in Yuncheng, Shanxi province, are reaping a rich harvest of persimmons.
They are busy gathering the fruit and drying it for snacks, which will become sweeter after exposure to the sun for two to three weeks.
Persimmons have been placed around virtually every house in the village, presenting a charming harvest scene.

The town's location on the Loess Plateau provides favorable conditions for persimmon production. Its persimmons are known for their large size, vibrant color and high vitamin content, and the town has blossomed as a production base.
This year, about 7,500 metric tons of persimmons were harvested. The fruit will be processed into about 3,000 tons of persimmon snacks. Persimmons have become an important source of income for local farmers and a solid contributor to rural revitalization.
