Intl alliance established for sci-tech innovation exchange, cooperation

The founding conference of the Qinchuangyuan General Window International Alliance for Science & Technology Innovation Exchange and Cooperation was held on Sept 6 in Xixian New Area, a national development zone co-built by Xi'an and Xiayang in Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

The alliance has so far collected a total of 69 member units, including 24 service-side units from countries and regions such as the United States, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Australia, and 45 demand-side units mainly consisting of various industrial parks, incubators, and technology-based enterprises in Xixian.

At the conference, the Xi'an science and technology bureau presented certificates to 22 universities, eight hospitals and research institutes, and 10 technology-based enterprises that had recently been recognized as Xi'an international science and technology innovation and cooperation bases for the year 2023.

The management measures are for the international scientific and technological innovation and cooperation bases in Xixian, management measures for the offshore innovation and entrepreneurship platforms in Xixian and work plans for innovation and entrepreneurship among foreign talent in Xixian in the China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

The measures aim to further expand channels for introducing and outputting technology and enhance the output of international scientific and technological innovation and cooperation in Xixian.

In addition, the first batch of international science and technology exchange and cooperation demand lists from the Qinchuangyuan general window were announced.

The list includes 38 demands on various industries such as photovoltaics, hydrogen energy, intelligent connected vehicles, aviation and aerospace, bio-medicine, CNC machine tools, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence, targeting countries and regions in Europe, America, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, Central Asia, and Africa.

In addition, agreements for 14 projects were signed on site, involving joint research and development, introduction of technology, recruitment of overseas talent, and project implementation.
