The 2023 China-ASEAN Emergency Management International Cooperation Forum will be held from Dec 4 to 6 in the city of Nanning - capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

The schedule was announced by city officials during an Aug 18 news conference. They said the forum is a high-level event under the framework of the China-ASEAN Expo.

It will focus on raising the levels of disaster risk prevention, improving emergency management capabilities, jointly preventing occupational injuries and accidents.

The event is expected to help improve China-ASEAN multilateral and bilateral cooperation mechanisms, expand regional emergency cooperation areas and help people to work together to respond to major disasters and accidents.

This year's forum will focus on safety production and it will host the China-ASEAN Safety Production Cooperation Forum, organizing supporting activities such as the 2023 China (Guangxi)-ASEAN Emergency Equipment and Technology Exhibition, the China-ASEAN Emergency Industry Procurement Conference, the China-ASEAN Emergency Industry Park Investment Attraction Meeting and the Senior Seminar for Chinese Emergency Industry Leaders.

The forum will also showcase and promote emergency industry equipment and technology through exhibitions and online platforms - displaying new technologies, materials, processes and equipment for emergency rescue and safety production.
