Casappa Hydraulics, founded in 1952, is one of the largest manufacturers of hydraulic pumps and hydraulic motors in Italy. In this July, Casappa Hydraulics (Shanghai) was certificated as one of Shanghai’s regional headquarters of multinational corporations (MNCs).

In July 2007, Casappa Hydraulics (Shanghai) was founded in Pudong New Area. The company  is currently one of the top 50 international suppliers of construction machinery in China. As the regional headquarters in East Asia, Casappa Hydraulics (Shanghai) is now playing a key role in the global business development of the large-scale MNC.

"Pudong has a sound business environment and favorable policy support for foreign enterprises. It also has well-developed infrastructure and mature supply chain, as well as a talent pool, which are helpful for the development of Casappa Hydraulics (Shanghai)," said Zhou Endeng, financial manager of the company.

With the support of local government, the company has seen its sales revenue increase from 10 million yuan ($1.37 million) to nearly 300 million yuan. Casappa Hydraulics (Shanghai) is presently an important supplier in the field of hydraulic systems in the Chinese construction machinery industry.

In recent years, the company has beefed up its efforts to promote industrial transformation and upgrading to expand its global market share.

In the future, Casappa Hydraulics (Shanghai) will increase investment in China and Pudong, enhance indigenous innovation capabilities and expand its presence in the construction machinery industry to promote high-quality development, according to Zhu Kai, sales and marketing director of Casappa Hydraulics (Shanghai).
