5. Competing for deftness (dou qiao)
On Qixi Festival, women hold colored threads and thread them through needle holes. If someone can thread through seven needle holes in one breath, they are considered to have achieved "deftness" and are referred to as having nimble hands. Those who can't are considered "less deft".
