2023 National Athletics Championships conclude in Quzhou

The four-day 2023 National Athletics Championships came to a close in Quzhou, East Chin's Zhejiang province, on July 23.

It is one of the most prestigious domestic sporting events in terms of standards, technical organization requirements, and public attention.

This year's championships for the first time held a single event on the street – the women's high jump final was held at the outer square of Shuitingmen.

The competition featured 31 teams from different provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country, with a total of 1,800 athletes, coaches, reporters and staff participating.

The competition had many highlights.

In the women's shot-put final, Tokyo Olympic champion Gong Lijiao won with a distance of 19.67 meters, which met the standards for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Liang Baotang, aged 19, won the men's 400m championship with a time of 46.26 seconds.

Rao Xinyu from Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, was crowned the women's 800m champion with a time of 2:03:43.

Xia Sining from Hunan province won gold in the women's 100m hurdles in 13.25 seconds.
