An international economic and trade fair kicked off on Friday in Langfang, Hebei province, committed to display state-of-the-art trade logistics and cross-border trade chains, according to the fair's official website.

The opening ceremony was held on Saturday.

The 2023 China Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair is co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs and the government of Hebei province.

Launched in 2000 in Langfang, Beijing's neighbor, the annual fair has been one of the most important investment and trade platforms in Hebei.

This year's event will be held from Friday to Wednesday and is themed "To jointly build an important base for modern trade logistics and to promote the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region".

During the six-day fair, a series of forums will be held on different subjects related to logistics, including Hebei's policy to support the development of a modern trade logistics industry, and new trend of trade logistics development worldwide.

Other conferences and exhibitions involving international cross-border e-commerce platforms and intelligent logistics will be held during the fair.

Exhibition areas will be set for more than 50 foreign cross-border e-commerce companies from 32 countries and regions, Hebei Daily reported.
