Plane showcasing Zhuhai's youthful charm lands in Bangkok

The passenger jet "Youthful Zhuhai" landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 10, marking the first international flight operated by the themed aircraft, which promotes Zhuhai as a City of Youth.

The aircraft operated on the Zhuhai-Kunming-Guangzhou air route and left for Bangkok from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport with 147 passengers on June 10. It was scheduled to return to Zhuhai on Monday after finishing the Guangzhou-Kunming-Zhuhai air route.

The China Southern Airline aircraft operated 22 flights during this round of flying, serving 2,818 passengers in Bangkok, Shanghai, Kunming, Xi'an, Ningbo, and Xishuangbanna. 

"Youthful Zhuhai," the initial themed aircraft to promote the city under an agreement signed between China Southern Air Holding and the Zhuhai Municipal People's Governments, depicts elements of the Zhuhai Opera House and the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition to represent Zhuhai as a "City of Youth."

Another aircraft named "Vitality Zhuhai," China Southern Airlines' second themed passenger plane, is decorated with Zhuhai's urban cultural characteristics. It made its maiden flight in November 2021.

The two themed planes are now under regular operation on domestic flights from Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport to major domestic cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Wuhan, and Chongqing. Since their operation in 2021, the two planes have conducted more than 2,800 flights, serving over 350,000 passengers.
